Auditions

Auditions at Westfield Theatre Group for 'An Evening of Andrew Lloyd Webber'.

The Westfield Theatre Group will be holding auditions for its 2008 Fall production, 'An Evening of Andrew Lloyd Webber' directed by Liz Golen and Laurie Furkey, with vocal coaching by Sue Comstock. Performances will be held on October 17, 18 and 24, 25 with a matinee on October 25. All performances will be held at the Westfield Woman's Club located at 28 Court Street. Auditions will be Tuesday July 8 and Wednesday July 9 beginning at 7:00 in the auditorium of the Westfield Woman's Club.

The show will be showcasing a selection of Andrew Lloyd Webber works including Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Jesus Christ Superstar. We are auditioning solos and chorus for anyone ages 16 to adult. Anyone auditioning should be prepared to sing a brief musical number from one of these selections.

Rehearsals will be held on one evening a week (day will be determined) during the summer. Additional rehearsals may be necessary as the show dates approach. Rehearsal times will be 7- 9 pm. For further information, please call 413-572-2541.

For musical auditions, please have a short musical piece prepared and bring a tape or CD or provide sheet music for the accompanist.  Also, bring a copy of the music for your own use, if necessary.  Be prepared to read from the script, which will be provided.  A short dance audition may also be required.

For non-musical auditions, scripts will be provided at the time of auditions.
