Westfield Theatre Group is proud to announce its spring 2024 show, a Palmer-Dunk original musical – ROBIN HOOD!  Last performed in 2012, it will once again grace the Westfield Woman’s Club stage on April 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20th, 2024. 

 

Auditions will be held on Monday November 6th and Tuesday November 7th  starting at 6:30 at the Westfield Woman’s Club, 28 Court St (lower level). The show will be directed by Kathleen Palmer, who wrote the original script, with musical direction by Marion Dunk, who wrote the music.  Shelley Haber will once again head the production staff and Gwen Newton Denton will costume the show.

 

There are multiple roles available for men and women, including but not limited to Robin Hood, Maid Marion, Little John, the Sheriff of Nottingham, Alan-a-Dale, Kate-a-Dale, Queen Eleanor, Friar Tuck and the Merry Men (of which there are many).  There are also chorus roles available for men, women and children ages 9 and up.  Anyone looking to audition for a role should prepare a short 32 bar piece suitable for their voice.  Cold readings will be made available from the script.
